
About Marcus Yax
Mr. Marcus Yax is currently serving his first term as a Windcrest Council Member. Mr. Yax has a Bachelor of Science from Southwest Texas State University in Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing.
Marcus Yax served as an Airedale in the US Navy from 1987 to 1993 deploying three(3) times on the USS Eisenhower (IKE) earning numerous medals and commendations including two(2) Southeast Asia Service Medals while deploying in Desert Shied and the aftermath of Desert Storm. Mr. Yax has an excess of 15 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry, and an additional 17 years of business development experience in key account relationships. His professional experience encompasses 28 years in executive/supervisory positions throughout a multitude of diverse professional environments. He consistently excelled in professional roles due to meticulous attention to detail, providing tactical business solutions, and developing and fostering key relationships and business opportunities. Mr. Yax's experiences has provided him a strong financial background in both transaction and long-term strategic asset management.
In 2021, Mr. Yax began volunteering his time and professional assistance to the Windcrest Neighborhood Block Program, which will help ensure that assistance is quickly available to Windcrest residents during weather and other emergencies. He is providing both conceptional and technical direction while designing the Spatial Analysis component of this plan.
