Peddler License

Peddler License Applications can be submitted during city hall business hours


  • Non-refundable application fee $300
  • Each peddler must provide a completed current background check
  • Must have no felony or misdemeanor within the last 7 years
  • Information on the application must be accurate
  • Must not violate any provisions listed in Chapter 18, Article III of the City of Windcrest Code of Ordinances. 

Already Licensed?

  • Licensed peddlers must wear their license in a visible place when interacting with the public
  • Peddlers, Solicitors, and Canvassers are prohibited from visiting residents on the "No Visit List"

  • Residents who want to be placed on the "No Visit List" can fill out the form bellow 
  • This list will be provided to licensed peddlers, solicitors, canvassers. Those who violate this list may have their Peddler License revoked.

"No Visit List" Request

  1. Fill out one(1) form per address


    The issuing officer shall maintain a list of persons within the City of Windcrest who restrict visits to their residential property (including their leasehold, in the case of a tenant) by peddlers, solicitors, and canvassers. The issuing officer may provide a form to assist residents, and this form may allow the resident to select certain types of visits that the resident finds acceptable while refusing permission to others. This "no visit" list shall be a public document, and may be reproduced on the city's web site and available for public inspection and copying. A copy of the "no visit" list shall be provided to each applicant for and each recipient of a peddler license. If a canvasser chooses not to apply for a peddler card, it will be the responsibility of that canvasser to obtain in some other way a copy of the current "no visit" list.
