CoW November 7, 2023 General Election Information

The November 7, 2023, General Election, to elect a Mayor, City Council members to Place 4 and Place 5, will be held at the Takas Park Civic Center, located at 9310 Jim Seal Dr., Windcrest, Texas 78239.  Filing for a place on the ballot is set by state statute and will run from July 24 to August 21, 2023.  Please visit this link for more information related to election dates.   (posted in accordance with TX. Filing requirements are per state statute, and are available for viewing here, as well as in the City of Windcrest Charter, Article III.  The City Council and Mayor § 3.04 Qualifications.

In accordance with the Secretary of State’s Credit Services Organizations (CSO)-3449 Advisory of August 03, 2020, candidate applications may be filed in the following manner:

  • in person, with the City Secretary’s office at City Hall located at 8601 Midcrown, Windcrest, Texas 78239,  (210) 655-0022 ext. 2150;
  • by mail; an application submitted by mail is considered to be filed at the time of its receipt by the appropriate filing authority. (Sec. 143.007(b); 144.005(b)); or
  • by fax or e-mail – “A signed, sworn, scanned candidate application (and petition, if applicable) may be submitted by fax or e-mail if there is no filing fee, [the City of Windcrest does not charge a filing fee]. Please be advised that an application must be notarized prior to filing via fax or email.”

Takas Park Civic Center is a designated, early voting and election day voting, voting center for the November 7, 2023 Elections.
