Assistant Fire Chief - Robert Weidenbach

Robert Weidenbach was appointed as Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Windcrest Fire Department in 2017.  Assistant Chief Weidenbach began his career as a volunteer firefighter with Windcrest Fire Department while a senior in high school in July 1996. Assistant Chief Weidenbach’s position became paid in 2019 in an effort to keep up with the increase in call volume and the responsibilities of the Assistant Chief. 

Assistant Chief Weidenbach’s goal is to see the department continue to grow and develop with the same dedication and energy that he has seen in 25+ years with the city.

Fire Marshal/Fire Inspector - Tim Zelenak

Tim Zelenak was appointed as the Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator on December 26, 2022, for the Fire Marshal’s Office for the City of Windcrest. Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator Zelenak started his career in the Fire Service in February 1999 with the Town of Hollywood Park Fire Department and service as a shift Lieutenant and Deputy Fire Marshal prior to coming to the City of Windcrest.

Fire Inspector/Fire Inspector Zelenak is certified as an Advanced Firefighter, Advanced Fire Inspector and a Master Arson Investigator through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.

Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator Zelenak’s duties in the Fire Marshal’s Office include Semi-Annual Fire Inspections, Plan Reviews, Foster Home Inspections, Fire Investigations and Fire Code Enforcement. Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator Zelenak brings his 24 years of Firefighting and Fire Prevention experience to the City of Windcrest and is deeply committed to keeping the City of Windcrest a fire safe place for all residents and visitors.
