Windcrest Light Up
Light Up Begins Saturday, December 3, 2022
The annual Windcrest Light Up is a decades-old tradition in which residents decorate their homes with elaborate displays of holiday lights. The Windcrest Light-Up contest is held to pick the most beautifully decorated homes in various judging categories. The public is invited to drive along neighborhood streets to view the brightly-lit displays. Citizens and Visitors are welcome to nominate addresses for the 'Peoples Choice Award.' Light-Up is made possible through volunteers from Windcrest Women’s Club and the City of Windcrest.
Thousands of visitors from San Antonio and the surrounding area come to see the free lighting event every year. Light Up begins with an opening ceremony in December running through New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2022.

Light Up Map
Each year the City of Windcrest offers a map, for a donation to benefit the Windcrest Volunteer Fire Association and various city non-profits, featuring the locations of the "Light-Up" winners. Maps are available at various locations throughout the City during "Light-Up" season.

Light-Up Contest
To participate in the City of Windcrest Light-Up contest fill out the Windcrest Light-Up Contest Registration form. All registered addresses will be featured in the Light-Up Map for all visitors to stop by and admire.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 23, 2022 by 5:00 PM. Maps CANNOT be altered after deadline

Light-Up Market
Each year at the Windcrest Light-Up ceremony the City of Windcrest invites vendors to come out and set up for the evening at no charge. Vendor spaces are limited and it is an outside event. Please dress according to the weather.

In 2020 the City of Windcrest launched the 1st ever People's Choice Award. People nominate their favorite decorated house in Windcrest. The house with the MOST nominations wins this years People's Choice Award.
